Trabuco Challenge Update

To all the participants in the Trabuco Challenge:

The event is Saturday, May 14th stating at the Parker Ranch located at 31651 Trabuco Canyon Road, Trabuco Canyon, CA. 92679.

On our web site (www.warriorssociety.org) there is a link for the Trabuco Challenge, which has a link to a map to the ranch.

The Forest Service has informed us that Upper Holy Jim is not a “sanctioned” trail, which is news to us as we’ve been using it for the Vision Quest and Counting Coup for 15 years and have submitted trail work reports to them for 20 years. A decision has not been made yet to allow us to including that in the pro-course (and future VQ’s and CC’s) so the pro’s may race the intermediate course without Upper Holy Jim if permission is not granted by race time.

Based on the ages of the participants we will have the following classes with awards given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place:

Youth under 18
Female (in the intermediate class)
30 to 50
50 to up.

Packet pickup will start at 6:30 with the pro race starting at 8:00 and the intermediate race starting at 8:30. You are responsible to carry all water and food needed for the race. We will have support staff with emergency water on the course – but only for emergencies.

Bring a chair to relax in for after the race. Food will be served starting around 12:30 – 1:00 p.m. with the awards being held around 2 to 3:00 p.m.

Thank you for your support of our events.
