In this issue:

1. Chimera 100K/M foot race this weekend 11/17 & 11/18

1. CHIMERA 100K/M FOOT RACE THIS WEEKEND 11/17 & 11/18

The Chimera 100K/100M foot race will take place this weekend 11/17 & 11/18.

Runners will begin at Blue Jay lower campground then proceed on to the Chiquito and San Juan Loop between 5a.m. and Noon on Saturday the 17th, then on Trabuco Trail, Trabuco Creek Road, and Holy Jim Trail between 8AM and 9PM, after 9PM on the 17th runners will be spread out on Maple Springs, Bedford, North Main Divide and Indian Truck Trail.

The last runners will likely return to lower Blue Jay Campground by 4:00 PM Sunday the 18th. To see a detailed map of the course you can go to:

2. MIKE BOECK RETAINED AS CONSULTANT BY THE WARRIOR’S SOCIETY

Mike Boeck, a resident of Silverado Canyon has been retained by the Warrior’s Society as a consultant for issues affecting the Canyons.

Mike brings a wealth of knowledge on land use issues and is respected by land use managers and County officials for his extensive knowledge. He is also a past Director of the Silverado Modjeska Recreation and Parks District.

We look forward to working with Mike to address those issues facing the canyons..
