Closing Thoughts

Josh the Wonder Dog is recuperating from a recent illness (no joke). Thank God he's going to be all right.

The club's influence has grown and with it the support of the public.  We need to look to the future and seek ways to handle the demands and responsibility this places on our shoulders.  To follow is easy; to lead is a responsibility not to be taken lightly.

I ask of you a most difficult task, to lead.  This past year has been won of great difficulty.  We have had many challenges both from without and within.  This summer I hope to rest, to enjoy a respite from the battle.  I am tired, a very weary warrior.  I cannot lead forever and for the sake of the club we must have a plan to deal with the eventuality of me putting down the lance and becoming a medicine man.

It is my hope that at some time there is no need for the Warrior's Society; that a balance is reached to protect our lands and our freedom.  But order and balance were never promised by our creator on earth, but only in heaven.  Our only hope is to understand the frailty of the human condition and ask for the grace of the Great Spirit to direct us on the path to balance, order and the heaven we seek here on earth.

May the Great Spirit Bless and keep you all.
