1. 2010 TRAVERSE WRAP UP

The 2010 Travers wrap up has been posted on our web site.

We will have raised between $6 and $7,000 for the Freedom Alliance Scholarship Fund after event costs are deducted.

Thank you for your support in providing scholarships to the children of our servicemen killed in action.

2. TOAD FESTIVAL UPDATE

We have 44 spots left for the Toad Festival long ride and many spots left for the short ride.

PARTICIPATION IS LIMITED TO:
175 for the long fun ride
No limit for the short fun ride

LONG FUN RIDE ($50) – 27.5 +- miles, 5,000 +- of elevation gain

SHORT FUN RIDE – easy ride on the trails of O’Neill Park and the Trabuco Wash
Adults ($50)
Kids 13 and under ($25)

If you plan on participating in the 2009 Toad Festival you must register by Friday, May 28th to receive an event t-shirt. Online and mail-in registration is closed but there is same-day registration at O’Neill. Same-day registrants are not guaranteed an event T-shirt.

You will pick up your number plate and event t-shirt the day of the ride starting at 7:00 AM.

The event fee includes awards for top finishers, t-shirt and lunch.

3. TRAIL WORK EVENT ON SATURDAY, MAY 22ND

We will have a trail work event brushing the Holy Jim and Trabuco Trails on Saturday, May 22nd.

We will be meeting at the entrance to Trabuco Creek Road (where the Pow Wow and Traverse finish line was located) at 7:00 a.m. for those that may need a ride it otherwise meet at 7:30 a.m. at the Holy Jim parking lot.

Work will last until 2:00 then lunch will be served. Bring gloves and water/snacks for during the work.

4. WOMEN’S CYCLE FEST AT REI HUNTINGTON BEACH ON JUNE 10TH

Women’s Cycle Fest at the Huntington Beach REI

June 10th 6pm-8pm
A free in-store womens’ specific cycling night!
Learn about product and check out some great gear!

Join us for an evening with vendor representatives and sales and shop staff.

Your chance to ask questions about womens’ clothing, gear, nutrition, classes and the shop services we offer.

There will be representatives from Serfas, Pearl Izumi, Clif Bar, Bell and Giro Helmets, Kinetic Trainers, and many more.
Learn about pedals, saddles, clothing, bike trainers, and bike fit and how to maintain your bike.

Special Raffles will occur on this very special evening for women and cycling!!
