1. OFF-TRAIL PROBLEMS IN THE BURN AREAS

The Forest Service has let us know they’ve had problems with people going off-trail and into the burn areas. The areas affected by the fires we’ve had are still recovering and sensitive to erosion caused by off-trail use.

Please help this area recover and stay on the designated roads and trails.

2. COURTESY – BE GOOD NEIGHBORS

While most recreationists are good neighbors, there is always that 5 to 10 percent who make us all look bad. When accessing the National Forest please pick up trash left in parking areas near the trail heads. This has become a problem in areas without designated parking with people leaving trash where they have parked or on private property. Most recreationist are not litters and some of this may be from people not out to admire nature, but to take advantage of it.
