The 2024 Warrior's Society Beach Party

We had a fantastic Warrior's Annual Beach Ride.

15 or so happy riders went at a leisurely pace from Brookhurst to Bolsa Chica state beach along the boardwalk. Even though it was Labor Day Weekend the crowds were very manageable and plenty of parking was available.

The weather couldn't have been better, Sunny but with a cool breeze.

We rode to the Beach Bar at Bolsa Chica, enjoyed some well earned cold beverages then headed back to our easy up at Brookhurst. 12.5 miles and a whopping 69 feet of elevation gain!

Darshan, "the dog whisperer" had to head home early to hang out with Lola.

Lubos showed up then left then came back!.

It was a mix of gravel bikes, mountain bikes, and cruisers.

Pizza and sodas were enjoyed by all.

We had a little bit of business to discuss. Not all Club Members were present so we'll have to get their input also. We talked about the 2026 VIsion Quest and possible routes. The 2025 course was very challenging for most riders and while they enjoyed the challenge I proposed to return to the 2022 route with a slight tweak. Blackstar gate to Paul Valdez trail (booby trap), up to Beeks, check in. Then Main Divide to Motorway descent, up Maple to 4 corners (VQ riders then continue up to Santiago Peak then return via Main Divide). Coup riders turn left at 4 corners and head back towards Beeks. Before reaching the Doppler Ball riders will drop down Two Monkeys, then turn right at the Paul Valdez cross and ride up to Beeks for the festivities. Similar to 2025 after the festivities at Beeks riders have their choice of fireroad or singletracks back to their cars at Blackstar gate.
