Troy Wins Huge, His Best Raceday Ever---Two 1st Place Wins!
He's Now Qualified For The U.S. Championships in Mammoth

Troy on podium

By Jim Sladeck

Good start, no crashes, good training and prep = a perfect race. Troy had his best racing day ever today and he won his class and even beat every racer through age 14 on the short course (except one 12 year old). His new bike is lighter and faster than ever before, he's learned to ride well in "clipless" pedals and most importantly has the desire to win on the race course.

He is finally able to use all of his gears on his mountain bike which lets him go much faster on high speed courses. When he came across the finish line, there wasn't a another racer in sight from his class. After resting for an hour and a half, we decided to do the first "long" course which was approx. 8 miles in the middle of the day. It took Troy an hour and a half to complete and he was the only one under 10 years old to make it so he was awarded another 1st place medal.

Special thanks to The Path in Tustin for getting us a great deal on Troy's new superlight Kona racing bike and supporting the Warriors Society Race Team.
