2. ANNOUNCING THE INAUGURAL OKOLE STUFF CUP MOUNTAIN BIKE RACE

Come Participate in the First Ever XC Race in Orange Counties’ Irvine Regional and Santiago Oaks Parks – Saturday, July 16th

Title Sponsor

Okole Stuff, makers of the “Worlds’ Best Chamois Ointment” announce the inaugural OKOLE STUFF CUP mountain bike race for riders of all levels, to be held at Irvine Regional Park on July 16th, 2011.

In addition to the race, multiple manufacturers will provide bikes for consumers to demo on the course when the racing is finished.

“Okole Stuff is proud to present the first mountain bike race to ever be held in one of Orange County’s awesome parks,” states Ron Sawicki, President of Enduro Stuff, makers of Okole Stuff. “I’ve been to World Cups around the globe, and this course is absolutely World Class.”

For multiple reasons, OC Parks have never authorized anyone to put on a race in County property, until Sawicki presented his plan for the Okole Stuff Cup.

THE COURSE

“The course itself is unbelievable,” continues Ron, “we start in the back of Irvine Park at our Festival-style Start/Finish area, then make our way on pavement to some open fireroad, across the creek and then onto incredible new single and double-track climbs in Santiago Oaks, before dropping down the ridges back to the Festival area.”

Each nine-mile lap contains over 1000 feet of climbing, smooth singletrack and technical rocky drops, providing exciting mountain bike action for participants and spectators alike. Beginners will do one lap, while Pro’s will do three on this challenging course.

GIVING BACK

With each race entry, proceeds will go back to the Parks for continued trail maintenance for mountain bikers.

Pro riders will be awarded cash prizes, and “Lehe Stuff” cash primes will go to the fastest lap winners of each categories. The top three finishers in all classes will be awarded prizes.

In addition, each racer will receive an event t-shirt, free lunch courtesy of Wahoo’s Fish Tacos, and a swag bag full of useable goodies.

The race is limited to 250 riders and there will be no on-site registration. Entries are going fast, so to register, click here:

FESTIVAL AREA AND AFTER-RACE DEMO

Bring your family, set out your blanket, and enjoy the grass-covered Start/Finish area as racers come through and get ready for a full day of family fun. Irvine Regional Park also has a Zoo, boating, pony rides and much more to keep your family occupied while Mom or Dad are out racing.

Kona, Specialized, Trek, KHS and more will provide a full fleet of bikes for racers and spectators to try out after the race is finished. Bring your friends and ride the latest and greatest mountain bikes on the best trails in Orange County!

ABOUT ENDURO STUFF:

Enduro Stuff is the parent company of Okole Stuff Chamois Ointment and Lehe Stuff Energy Lip Balm.

Okole (pr. oh-ko-lay) Stuff was developed by a Multi-time National Endurance Championship winning team. This unique ointment is the result of trying every Chamois Cream on the market and not finding satisfactory performance. Okole means “Butt” in Hawaiian.

While most chamois ointments are water based, Okole Stuff’s soft paraffin base stays on TOP of your skin to provide hours of friction-free time in the saddle. Soothing and long-lasting ingredients include Lanolin, Allantoin, Tea Tree Oil, and Aloe to help heal your skin and keep you riding longer. Try it for yourself and find real relief no matter how many miles your ride takes you.

Lehe (pr. lay-hay) Stuff is a new energy product that delivers its energy infusion through one of the most absorbent parts of your body- your lips! Combining the soothing and healing benefits of pure ingredients including green tea, vitamin B12 and caffeine. Pow! right in the kisser. Lehe means “Lips” in Hawaiian.
