February 11, 2005

Santa Ana Mountains, California - The President of the National Mountain Bike Table Tennis Association (NMBTTA), Andy Lightle, announced that the National Mountain Bike Table Tennis Championship Series event dates will be announced as soon as the Forest Service repairs the Roads in the Santa Ana's and allows the Association access.

"We expect an exciting year in 2005. Last years championship attracted some of the best mountain biking table tennis players in Orange County" stated NMBTTA President Andy Lightle in a recent interview in the NMBTTA magazine.

The series will consist of 3 events:

Beat'n your Ping at Beaks
to be held at Main Divide at Beek's Place

Maple Spring Pong
to be held at the Main Divide at Maple Springs

Table Tennis Torture Tournament @ Trabuco
for the series finals: to be held at the Main Divide and Trabuco

This series is an invitation only event but spectators are encouraged to attend to see the professionals of the NMBTTA battle it out for the series championship.

Last year's champion's Pat "Shoot 'em Low" Burton and Barry "Hang 'em High" Wood are expected to return to defend their title and honor after being accused of using performance enhancing drugs to achieve their 2004 NMBTTA Championship.
