24 Hour Volunteer Program

Volunteers are an integral part of the Warrior's Society and it's scehduled races. At the 24 Hour event we will be needing extra volunteers because of the length of the race. The Warrior's Society will be providing it's normal volunteers but in order for the race to run smooth and for everyone to enjoy the event we are asking for volunteers from each of the teams signed up for the 24 hour race. All of the solo riders are exempt from having a volunteer for the race because they usually need extra assistance in their own support. Therefore, all teams must have a volunteer to work a 4.5 hour shift.

If your team does not have a volunteer sign-up and show up for their shift the team will lose a lap.

At the packet pick-up on Friday evening and Saturday morning there will be sign-up sheets for your volunteer to pick a position and shift time. This will happen on a first come, first serve basis...if you want a certain shift time you may want to sign-up on Friday evening to get the time and position you want.  The volunteer is responsible for checking in at the volunteer booth 1/2 hour before their scheduled shift. Once signed in for their shift they will be transported to their location and instructed what to do.

Volunteer positions will consist of:
Crossing Guards
Check Points
Timing Tent
Course Marshalls
First Aid Tent
Charging station Tent

Shift times consist of:
11:30am to 4:00pm
3:30pm to 8:00pm
7:30pm to Midnight
11:30pm to 4:00am
3:30am to 8:00am
7:30am to 12:00pm

We will provide transportation to your volunteer location or you can hike/ride to you spot on the course.

Wear appropriate clothing depending on your shift time. Bring water and snacks.

Please show up at your scheduled time and don't be late... the person you are relieving will be ready and waiting. It is the responsibility of the person being relieved of their shift to explain their position to the next volunteer taking over.

Without the help of volunteers such a race would be impossible to run.

All volunteers will be recognized at the awards ceremony and a special token of our thanks will be given to each person who volunteers.
